“It’s disrespectful to show up like that.” According to the creator who posts as @manila.333, that is what a group of bridesmaids told her while she was setting up a wedding cake in the kind of outfit she wears on camera, a white tank top and dark bottoms. She was not a guest. “I was there to deliver a cake,” she says, and then leave.
Speaking from a kitchen in a video posted on September 28, 2026, she opens by saying she was “nearly attacked by people at a wedding” over how she was dressed. What she goes on to describe is an argument, first with the bridesmaids and then with the bride, over whether the person dropping off the cake owes the wedding a dress.
When the bridesmaids told her casual clothes were disrespectful, she says she took it for a joke. “I thought they were pulling my leg,” she says, so she laughed. Nobody laughed back. She describes them “looking at me, not smiling,” and says that is when she understood they meant it. Her answer, as she tells it: “I’m not a guest. I’m here to deliver a cake.”
Their reply, by her account, was that people were coming. She says the room was empty at the time. “They were so upset and offended because I decided not to wear a dress delivering a cake,” she says.
She expected the bride to see it differently. Instead, she says, the bride walked up and told her, “I heard that you’re being really rude to my guests,” adding that they were her bridesmaids. The creator says she asked for specifics: “What did I do exactly? What did I say exactly?”
The first answer she got, she says, was that she had shown the bridesmaids attitude while setting up the cake. She denied it and explained that she had laughed because she thought they were kidding. According to her, the bride said the laughing was the disrespectful part. On camera she acts out a far ruder comeback, then corrects herself: “Okay, well, I didn’t say that, but I wanted to.”
So she asked a second time what she had said or done. This time, she says, the bride named the clothes: “You showed up wearing sweats,” then “exercise clothes,” then, “This is a wedding, in case you’ve never been to a wedding before.” The creator says she replied that she has been to several weddings, that she did not have to dress up to deliver a cake, and that she would be out of there within five minutes.
The bride, in her telling, held her position: “I expect a dress.” That is when the creator brought up the paperwork. “Listen, unless you added that to the contract, don’t come after me,” she says she told her. The bride called it “common sense.” The creator disagrees on camera, saying she is not going to dress up and do her hair to spend five minutes setting up a cake. The video ends there, and she does not say how the delivery finished.
If What Your Cake Vendor Wears Matters to You, Put It in Writing First
Her one condition is the part a couple planning a wedding can use: by her own account, a dress requirement in the contract is the thing she would have had to follow. If you care what the person carrying in your cake is wearing, say so when you book, and say it in writing.
Before you sign, ask who will make the delivery and whether they will still be in the room once guests arrive. In her account the room was empty and she planned to be gone in five minutes.
If you still want a certain look, add one plain line to the contract or order form, for example that delivery staff wear all black. Keep a copy of the signed version on your phone on the day so a disagreement can be settled by reading it.
Ask for the delivery time in writing and set it before the bridal party is due in the room. Give that time to the venue so someone can let the vendor in and show them the cake table.
Choose one person to deal with vendors, whether that is a planner, a venue coordinator or a relative who is not in the middle of getting ready. In this story the first complaint came from bridesmaids, and the bride arrived having heard it secondhand as rudeness.
If a vendor does upset someone, open with the question the creator says she had to ask twice: what exactly was said or done. In her telling, the first answer was “attitude” and the real one, the sweats, only came out the second time.
