Delicious chicken and waffles drizzled with maple syrup, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Chick-fil-A put its Chicken & Waffles sandwiches and two s’mores-flavored drinks on menus nationwide on Monday, August 24, confirming the lineup itself in a release posted to the chain’s own newsroom. The rollout follows a smaller 2025 test run and lands as part of Chick-fil-A’s 80th-anniversary “Newstalgia” campaign, built around reviving flavors regulars already associate with comfort food.

The chicken and waffles concept actually comes in two separate sandwiches depending on when you order. There’s a breakfast version sold until 10:30 a.m., and a heartier entrée version sold from 10:30 a.m. until close, so the chain effectively shipped two new items under one name.

Key Points

  • Both Chicken & Waffles sandwiches pair maple-flavored waffles with a chicken filet, Original, Spicy, or Grilled, three strips of applewood smoked bacon, and honey butter spread, served alongside classic syrup for dipping, according to the company.
  • The S’mores Milkshake blends the chain’s Icedream dessert with chocolate shortbread, graham cracker crumbles, marshmallow-flavored syrup, and marshmallow-flavored whipped topping.
  • The S’mores Frosted Coffee builds cold-brewed coffee over Icedream, chocolate shortbread, graham cracker crumbles, and marshmallow-flavored syrup.
  • All four items are limited-time offerings, and Chick-fil-A has not published an end date or national pricing for any of them.
  • The nationwide launch follows test markets in 2025, where guest response convinced the chain to scale up, according to AOL’s coverage of the rollout.

Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, framed the launch as an attempt to walk a line between nostalgia and novelty rather than just reheating an old idea. “In this year of Newstalgia-inspired celebrations, we wanted to bring something unique this fall by reimagining the comforting flavors our Guests crave this time of year, delivering a taste that feels both familiar and new to appeal to all ages,” she said in the company’s announcement. “Both Chicken & Waffles and S’mores are much-loved classics, and we challenged ourselves to bring those flavors to our menu in a playful and unexpected way. After seeing the incredible response and excitement from Guests in our test markets, we couldn’t wait to share these flavors nationwide.”

Chick-fil-A has leaned on limited-time menu drops for years to keep guests checking back in between the permanent lineup, and pairing a savory breakfast item with a dessert-drink duo covers both ends of the day at once. Whether Chicken & Waffles sticks around past this fall the way some past specialty items have will depend on how it sells now that it’s off the test-market leash and into every location at once.
