A person with four cats in a room

So, you won’t believe the ongoing saga between four cats that has turned into a full-blown war of pettiness and revenge. It all started with an ill-fated introduction between JoJo and Rohan, but the fallout has spiraled into a chaotic tale that makes soap operas seem dull.

To set the stage, JoJo was the reigning queen of the household long before Rohan joined the party. She’s a petite cat, but her feisty personality commands attention. Her mom, Holly, is definitely on the more timid side. When Rohan, a big, jovial cat with a history from a rescue, came into the picture, things quickly escalated. Rohan, bless his heart, suffered from severe separation anxiety. He couldn’t stand the thought of being away from his new human and would stop at nothing to find her—like, literally pushing chairs and bricks to open doors and chase after her.

On day one, while JoJo was busy minding her own business, Rohan spotted Holly and thought he’d play a game. Unfortunately, Holly didn’t share his enthusiasm and retaliated, which only invited chaos. JoJo, being fiercely protective of her mom, quickly caught wind of the scuffle. She was not about to let Rohan get away with chasing her mother. The grudge she held from that moment turned into the catalyst for a series of increasingly petty revenge plots from both cats.

Fast forward a few weeks, and JoJo took it upon herself to make Rohan’s life miserable. Every time she spotted him napping, she’d sneak up and bite his rear, catching him completely off guard. That didn’t last long, though. Rohan, in his own mischievous way, retaliated by blocking JoJo’s favorite water fountain—a true crime in the cat world. And just like that, the feud was on.

When JoJo countered by blocking access to the litter boxes, the situation took a messy turn. Rohan couldn’t even poop in peace without being ambushed. It became a chaotic game of cat and mouse—or rather, cat and litter box. When JoJo leaped onto him mid-poop, it was nothing short of a disaster. To add insult to injury, even five litter boxes around the house didn’t alleviate the situation. She was determined to make him suffer for denying her sips from her cherished fountain.

After what felt like an eternity of escalating stink and chaos, Rohan, in a bid to turn the tables, reverted to tactics that even the most seasoned feline strategist would admire. He began enticing JoJo into “fights,” knowing she would get in trouble for it. His cunning method involved arching his back, crouching, and presenting his large backside to her, basically saying, “Come at me!” JoJo, unable to resist the challenge, would pounce, only to find herself scolded afterward. It was the ultimate troll move, and oh boy, did Rohan revel in it.

Finally, the introduction of a microchip cat door downstairs provided a glimmer of hope for peace. The girls were allowed to roam freely, while Rohan was restricted to the upstairs. This scheme put an end to a significant amount of the chaos—until JoJo, feeling a resurgence of rivalry, trapped Rohan in the mudroom one fateful evening. Just when it seemed that maybe everything was calming down, Rohan took this as a sign of weakness and began blocking the cat door, slamming it into JoJo’s head whenever she tried to escape.

Then came the latest round of this never-ending battle. JoJo, clearly fed up with being denied access and tired of Rohan’s antics, waited patiently for him to doze off in his favorite chair. The moment he was out cold, she seized her opportunity and ripped off his collar. Why? Because without it, Rohan couldn’t access his microchip feeder. That’s right. The once-reigning king of the upstairs was left collarless and, consequently, starving.

It’s a cycle that keeps spiraling. Rohan initiated this madness, but JoJo has certainly proven she can hold a grudge just as well. As their petty battles continue, it leaves the human caught in the crossfire, helplessly watching this war unfold.

These cats have turned what could have been a simple introduction into an epic saga of revenge that goes beyond just territorial disputes or food rivalry. It’s a tale of resilience, retribution, and, let’s be honest, pure entertainment. They’ve made it abundantly clear that in this household, each cat has a role to play, and there’s no room for a truce.
